Here at UK Hose, we are delighted to welcome Chris Lee as our Regional Sales Director.

Chris left school in 1989 and begun working as a hose fitter for Equipment Supply Co in Great Yarmouth, this consisted of testing, tagging and certifying various types of hoses, whilst also serving customers at the trade counter.

After several years, Chris took on a new opportunity with his former manager who was in the process of setting up his own hydraulics company – Great Yarmouth Hydraulics (now known as Metnor). Chris enjoyed his role and watching the company hit new heights.

Chris then decided it was time for a change and took employment elsewhere until he was offered a role with SMS. He worked by himself as a hose tech assembling, testing and certifying assemblies whilst also dealing with the trade counter.

During his time at SMS, leading multi-million-pound hydraulic enhancement projects, Chris was trusted to work with some of the industries leading businesses, such as Shell, on their North Sea refurbishment project. Chris worked tirelessly to manage this project and was in charge of keeping check of the hoses being replaced offshore. This consisted of Chris providing weekly updates, updating spreadsheets, and attending meetings with Shell representatives.

Chris also utilised his customer-centric approach by building relationships with local customers both offshore and onshore. Once the project was complete, Chris continued to supply major offshore and onshore clients with hydraulic hoses and other hydraulic equipment.
