Wes Hawkes’ story

We are delighted to welcome Wes Hawkes as Director to our South West team.

Wes brings an impressive twenty-five years of industry experience, having begun his career as an apprentice with Mayflower Hydraulics in Somerset. After he met his partner and worked as an apprentice for a while, Wes moved to Bristol.

At the age of 18, Wes decided to take advantage of a fresh opportunity and joined Duncan Rogers Engineering, where he worked his way up to become Store Manager. As a result, Wes was able to build his knowledge of the Eaton Aeroquip product ranges.

Following this, Wes decided to put his years of knowledge to the test and accepted a mobile hose fitting position with Bristol Hose Ltd. Wes’s drive and passion for his work helped him to fast track into the role of Site Manager, where he could put his skills to even more use.

In the year 2015, Wes made the decision to launch his own business – Hoseline Hydraulics, in order to further utilise his expertise. Wes established a solid team in Bristol and the surrounding areas, which helped the company generate an impressive revenue of £1m.

Wes prides himself on customer care, ensuring that he understands all customer needs and delivers the best services to those who rely on him. Alongside providing the best customer service and making use of his years of experience and knowledge, in his spare time Wes enjoys spending his time on the bank carp fishing or making memories with his wife and children.

I have seen how the team continuously work hard to ensure that we are the leading hydraulic service in the nation and I aim to support this success. I am excited to join UK Hose in the next phase of their journey’.
